Koutarou HAMADA

My name is Kotaro Hamada. My travels have taken me to New Zealand, Australia, France, Germany, Hawaii, and the UK. To me, though, nothing can compare to the mysteries of the Inari Shrine. As an expert tour guide of 10 years and former English cram school instructor, my tours are the perfect balance of ancient wisdom and present day wit, or so I like to think. “I love shrines…especially Inari Shrines from which all Japanese religion originates. You can truly know Japan by understanding Inari shrines. Inari shrines are overflowing with secrets unknown even to the Japanese.” When I do a tour, I try to bring a little laughter and variety into my tours with stories and jokes. When I’m not doing a tour, though, you’ll likely find me enjoying soccer or geeking out over folklore. My record is more than 100 shrine tours in a year. I’m pretty proud of that.
