I guess you could say I love being outdoors and experiencing the natural beauty of the world first hand more than anything. I used to be a dental hygienist, but I gave up my job to chase my dreams. Now I work independently as a Nature Yoga Guide. I see Yoga as the best method of purifying yourself inside and out, unifying the two parts to bring out health and beauty from the core. I am a Japan Mountain Guides Association certified guide, so I travel around a lot and can be found working as a guide in different places depending on the season. In the summer I’m in Shinshu, in winter Yakushima, and in autumn and spring I stay in the Kamakura, Hayama, and Shonan areas. My hobbies include paddle boarding, mountaineering, climbing, Tahitian dance, and traveling.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This tour starts from the usually-crowded Kamakura JR station. Over the next three hours, though, you will find yourself walking far from the beaten path to out of the way corners of this beautiful and historic town. Don’t miss the chance to take this exclusive and intimate experience, seeing parts of Kamakura that most other tourists don’t even know exist. We will dedicate 50 minutes of the tour to exploring the inner sanctum of a temple with a monk guide. Keep in mind that the maximum number of people who can join the tour is only four, which adds to the exclusivity. Fans of the anime “Slam Dunk” will certainly not want to pass up this experience, as you will get a chance to see the train crossing featured in the show’s opening theme!

  • Meet your host at Kamakura Kōkōmae station.

  • Introduce yourself and hear the schedule for the day.

  • The host will drive you to a little known temple.

  • (Optional) Enjoy traditional Japanese tea and sweets!

    (Approximately 1000JPY/$10)

  • Visit another two temples and hear about their history!

  • Feel free to ask any questions you have about Kamakura.

From this trip, first of all I really got to learn many new things about the Kamakura dynasty and the history itself. The tour conducted by the hosts was a great honor. It had some great customer support with good translations. Apart from the rain (which I also believe that it gave an atmosphere to the tranquility over the Japanese vibes), I really enjoyed the trip and would love to join one of them again! Thanks indeed for the trip around and with the great translation and support given.See moreSee less

The most Cultural and Historical Tour I have experienced with Tabica so far. It was interesting to see the beautiful Temples/shrines in term of what it represented in the historical timeline. I was amazed and appreciated the aesthetic value of each and every temple. Not forgetting the artistic Goshuin and beautiful pictures of Temple Gardens I have managed to captured for this trip. Highly Recommended for anyone who is interested in Seeing Temples and Collecting Goshin. Tabica Thank you for making this trip a wonderful experience for me. See moreSee less
