My name is Takahashi Tatsuro, and I am the creative director and copywriter at my company, as well as a member of numerous cultural and historical groups that preserve and re-enact Japanese history.
Japanese history fascinates me, especially the Edo period. Edo is the old name for Japan’s capital city, Tokyo. As part of researching how the common people of the Edo period lived, I take many walks around Tokyo and I enjoy introducing Edo culture and history to others. My goal is to introduce people to history in a fun and interesting way. The impact of Edo culture lives on in modern Japan and is the reason behind many of our customs today. My love of Edo even lead me to write a book on the period, so feel free to ask me about it.
