Kaho SHINODA

Tokyo “Tokyo Washi” may be a small organization with only three members, but we have passion for what we do. All the materials for the Japanese paper, or “washi”, are locally sourced. We are dedicated to showing the world the versatility of washi. Not only do we “make” the paper, but also “grow”, “eat”, and “enjoy” it, and we put a great importance on these four points. Edible washi is a one of a kind experience only we provide. The moving style of paper making is also our specialty. Although our organization is new, we have confidence that our passion for the craft shows. Washi making in Tokyo has a long history, and we are dedicated to preserving that history and bringing new elements to it as well.
