Kyoto Fish Cook Eat eel trip I am Shiomi. For over 40 years I have run an eel specialty restaurant called Shiotomi. If I may say so myself, Shiotomi is quite famous eel restaurants come. We even have patrons who visit Kyoto all the way from Tokyo just to enjoy the delicacies we make here. We purchase a fresh domestic eel that comes from all over Japan, which we coat in a special sauce and cook over over white charcoal resulting in a mouthwatering result. The cooking method creates such tender eel, some people say it’s like we seemed the meat. I would very much like for you to enjoy it firsthand.
