Located in Kamishi, Iwate prefecture “Fujiyu Brewery” is the producer of miso paste, soy sauce, and other various fermentation related products. Our soy sauce “Fuji Shoyu” takes its name in inspiration from the world famous mountain and symbol of Japan, Mt. Fuji. As the highest peak in Japan, we here at Fujiyu Brewery believe that Fuji represents the pinnacle of effort and Japanese spirit. It is with this mentality that we produce our fermented products, and aim to make our Fuji Shoyu the soy sauce with the highest acclaim. Although the Kyushuu region of Japan is well known for sweet soy sauce, we also produce sweet soy sauce. During the 2011 earthquake and tsunami disaster, our factory miraculously made it out unscathed and we continue to produce our “secret sauce” beloved in the region.
