Tokyo Bike Tour with Electric Bikes Experience

We chose this tour as we wanted to see Tokyo from a different perspective, and to have chance to explore some of the back streets and less obvious routes around the city. We weren't disappointed; our host, Naoko, delivered us safely around the city, taking in some of the local delicacies that we would not have otherwise tried, and showing us back routes through the streets that were beautiful and exhilarating. The tour exceeded our expectations, running from 9am-2:30pm. The pace was leisurely, the bikes made cycling fun and easy, and Naoko was the perfect guide, giving us lots off interesting information, and taking lots of pictures of our group. We had three children with us, ages 9, 11 and 13, and they were able to manage the routes and bikes, and got as much from the tour as the adults. Highly recommended.See moreSee less

    Best bike tour ever

We stopped at historical places and also ventured Into the backstreets of suburbs to find treasures that any regular visitors to Japan probably still haven’t seen or passed by and would get lost finding their way back home. We learnt about the Edo period; Imperial palace damage and restoration from earthquakes over the years; Emperors old and the recent new, Shoguns, the cranky swan in the moat, origin of kabuki theatre, talked about Buddhism and Shinto, Shrines and temples, a special one for me was the shrine for mourning mothers. We learnt the routine to enter Japanese shrines and temples, and were each given a gift from the “priest”, we even learnt fascinating facts about the Japanese language.
The two males in our group were given a free VR ride around a racecourse in the latest Nissan concept car ....WOW! (They even completed a health questionnaire and liability waiver beforehand).
The food stops along the way included Daifuku Mochi from original Mochi shop in Ginza, dried fruits, sweet omlette, squid, dried sweet lemon cod, miso soup, green tea, fresh seaweeds, whole baby crab crackers, freshly torched sake pepper fresh tuna kebabs from Tsukiji fish market,Melon pan, and coffee on the Sumida River before riding back to starting point via Tokyo central station.
This tour far exceeded our expectations and and recommend to anyone who wanting to see plenty of Tokyo in a short time.See moreSee less
