Hello, my name is Miki. I enjoy all sorts of activities that involve making things with your hands, and I especially enjoy making sushi. I quite regularly make sushi at home in fact. I thought it was normal until I told my friends about it and learned it’s actually pretty rare! I would love to teach others how to make their own delicious sushi in a clear and easy to remember fashion so that everyone can enjoy sushi in their own homes. My events are kid friendly, so please bring along your young ones if you have any.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Try home made Japanese style fluffy bread! You could choose your favorite bread from many choices as follows; Sweet rolls filled with red bean paste (あんぱん/An pan) which combines a light and fluffy bread filling with sweet red beans to create perfect sweetness. Cream bun. Melon bread (メロンパン/meron pan) filling with a cookie-crust exterior to create a sweet melon-shaped bun. Sausage bread and ham bread. Teaching you how to cook these popular breads will be your friendly host, Miki Watanabe. With years of experience as a cooking instructor, even beginners will find her lesson easy to follow. As a frequent traveller, Miki knows it can be difficult to find the ingredients you want in other countries, and has tips on hand to help you recreate the recipes back home. At the end of the lesson you’ll have the chance to try your freshly baked breads. (You can take them home, too!)
