Hi everyone, I am Takamatsu from the Myosho-temple. Myosho temple was built in 1307 and is belong to Nichirenshu, which is one of the major factions of Japanese Buddhism. You can feel the quiet, peaceful and solemn atmosphere while walking around this old temple. if you want to escape from the noisy downtown and enjoy the fresh air and the great gift from the natural, please come and join our one day in temple experience.

To start the tour, the head monk will take you inside the temple, a place normally impossible to visit. First, your host will teach you about Buddhism and the history behind various statues before moving on to how to use the ceremonial instruments used when reading sutras. Afterward, learn how to pray in the Buddhist style. Assisted by the head monk, your prayer will surely reach the ears of the divine. Your next activity is sutra reading while practicing meditation. But of course, there is time to take a break with some tea and Japanese sweets. Take advantage of this time to speak freely with the head monk about what’s on your mind. At the scheduled time in the evening, you may ring the giant temple bell. This experience is packed full of opportunities to try things normal prohibited when visiting a temple.
