Masahiro SHIODA

Hello, my name is Masahiro Shioda. Any true fan of Aikido surely knows about my grandfather Gozo Shioda, a great figure in the history of Aikido and the founder of the Yoshinkan style. With such a family history in Aikido, it is natural that I would also dedicate my life to this martial art. After graduating university, I was put in charge of teaching Aikido at the Tokyo metropolitan police department. I train a wide range of students in all age groups, from 3 to 70, and take pride in being able to say that I have appeared on TV, magazines, and other types of media. My goal is to spread the teachings of Aikido to as many people as possible. Please join me to learn all about one of Japan’s traditional martial arts.

I learned a lot about the history of Aikido and the different schools of it.

Surprising experience! I didn’t have much experience of Aikido myself, but my friend Matthieu did, and the host really adapted to both our levels, taking the time to explain and show us every move. I also learned a lot about the history of Aikido and the different schools of it. The host and his disciples were really friendly. Thank you also Tamaki for the perfect translation!See moreSee less
