Hello, my name is Nobuo Murai. I love the outdoors, I love showing people a good time, and I love to experience the historically, naturally, and culturally rich city of Kamakura by taking walks around the city. (I am especially captivated by the alleyways!) One step from the main street, into a smaller street takes you into a quieter, peaceful environment.
Of course, I also like the touristy areas of the city, but I find that the smaller streets have a slower, relaxing atmosphere while maintaining the culture and history of the area. This is the part of the city that I would like to show you. Come on a tour with me as I show you the real life of the locals, take you around to my favorite shops and restaurants, and show you what the real Kamakura City is like.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The historically and culturally rich city of Kamakura boasts famous shrines, statues, and historical sites. Visitors can also enjoy the nature of the area, such as its hiking trails in the rolling hills or its beautiful beach. But visitors may often overlook another charming aspect of the city, which is the local areas of the city. Take a step from the main street into one of the smaller streets and alleyways and you will find a different, quieter world within the city. Your guide Nobuo Murai would like to show you this charming part of the historical city of Kamakura. He will show you places, shops, and sites that are easily overlooked. You will enjoy exploring the local part of the city on foot, seeing beautiful shrines, enjoying a delicious Japanese lunch at a local restaurant, riding a local train, and perhaps even enjoying a sunset on the beach. See the real side of the historical city of Kamakura. The tour lasts about 4 hours on foot, so bring your walking shoes!
