I made my debut as a photographer while still in elementary school! My elder brother lent me his camera for my school trip, which enabled me to take my own photos and distribute them. It was such an empowering experience that it kick-started my lifelong love for photography. Photography has opened many doors for me and allowed me to not just take in the spellbinding diversity of the world but also preserve its beauty through my unique perspective. My work has taken me to Tibet and the Silk Road, where I was privileged to interact with many minority tribes living in Yunan Province. I also spent time at the Mekong Delta and observed how the locals' lives were inextricably linked with this magnificent river. Such experiences have gained me recognition as a professional: I got to hold many exhibitions and author books that detailed my journeys.

Curious to know how Tokyo came to be the mighty metropolitan that it is today? Or just want to get a brief respite from its hustle and bustle? This tour promises to deliver all this - and more. We will first gather at Nezu Station, which is located on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line. Embark on a soul-stirring stroll that will take you through the quaint Shitamachi area of Yanesan (an acronym that stands for the neighbourhoods of Yanaka, Nezu and Sendaki). Explore charming back streets. Chat with warm, quirky natives. Admire prominent local landmarks like Nezu Shrine and churches. And of course, be inspired by my photographic pointers to view all this with a critical eye and take photos that hint at how life must have been like in olden-day Japan! I happen to be a member of the Photographic Society of Japan, so I aim to inject my tour with insights on the Japanese approach to artistic sensibilities. So why not sign up for this 2.5hr tour to experience it first-hand for yourself?

"HE speaks English is and also shared his photography skills along the way were some good points.;As a tourist, the visit to Japan is not complete if I didn't get a chance to wear the Summer kimono. TABICA made that complete by this tour I participated called ""Make Your Own Kumihimo Belt and Clasp and Wear a Summer Kimono"". It was a good contrast and comparison between the location and the experience. It was set in a modern Landscape to try out the most traditional garment. I like the idea of such comparative experience. It was enjoyable to make the belt and I had great time understanding intricate details into knitting. I recommend this tour for everyone who would like to wear a Kimono and Take some pictures before you head back to your home country.
""One Picture is Worth a Thousand Words"" I my case, I managed to take many pictures wearing lovely summer kimono;I Walked into a city that has historical and cultural values. It was away from hustle and bustle of central Tokyo. I enjoyed taking the stroll around the city. Some of the places I walked into were cemetery, art/watch museums, high street shops, shrines, children parks, steep hills, old houses and many more. I felt people are more happy to see foreigners and they are more than happy to have a little chit chat with us. Not forgetting all the great scenery and alley I managed to capture during the tour are things I would not have thought existed in this part of Tokyo. You can buy all the souvenirs you need at much lower price than the central Tokyo. I highly recommend this tour for any one to understand the traditional setting of Japan. "See moreSee less

It was an awesome tour. The Japanese photographer tour guide is a really nice and friendly man that you can learn from and also enjoy talking to. You can also explore local places you’ve never been to and it’s really peaceful. Disclaimer: I was invited to participate in this tour without having to pay.See moreSee less
